We are excited to announce the launch of our AMS Montessori Teacher Education Program (TEP) for the 0-3 and 3-6 age levels, set to commence in the fall of 2024. As we continue to grow, we are seeking passionate and qualified individuals to join us in shaping the future of Montessori education.
Role Description
This is a contract hybrid role based in Cambridge, MA, with the flexibility for some remote work. As a Montessori Teacher Trainer, you will play a crucial role in training and guiding both new and experienced teachers in the Montessori method. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with a team to develop and implement training programs
- Conducting observations and evaluations
- Providing ongoing support and feedback to teachers
- Assisting in designing and implementing curriculum activities
- Ensuring classrooms meet Montessori standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Montessori Education, or a related field
- AMI or AMS Montessori Teaching Certification
- 3+ years of experience in Montessori teaching, with a focus on Teacher Training and Professional Development
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, collaboration, and coaching
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Montessori materials and methods, curriculum development, and classroom management
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work both in-person and remotely as needed
- Demonstrated passion for Montessori education and a commitment to student success

Role Description
- Utilize creative curriculum-building skills to craft engaging curriculum and assessments aligned with students needs; WorldSong Schools standards and Montessori curriculum philosophy.
- Define instructional, learning, or performance objectives, and design teaching material, and educational content for toddlers and preschoolers and conduct classroom observation to ensure quality assurance and assist teaching staff in implement the instructional curriculum and programs in our classroom.
- Coordinate periodic reviews/assessments of the current curriculum to ensure alignment with intended objectives; recommend necessary changes to the curriculum, instructional methods, and materials.
- Stay abreast with curriculum trends and standards through research on new and innovative curriculum practices; identify and review externally produced content and resources from qualified content providers.
- Plan and conduct teacher training programs and administrative staff conferences, address topics like new classroom procedures, instructional materials and equipment, and teaching aids.
- Prepare instructional material for printing; develop outlines with essential details to guide effective instruction.
- Develop and maintain research database for the continuous enhancement and review of the curriculum.
- Ensure the provision of appropriate subjects or programs that foster the development of desirable behavior in students; and create a positive, effective, safe learning environment.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Teaching, Early Childhood Education, or a closely related field.
- 6 months of full-time working experience in the Early Childhood Education field is required.
